Barnard Park is just a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of Pentonville Road but feels like a world away.
The 10 acre park has a football pitch, a sympathetically designed play park and even a communal piano.
There is an active Friends of Barnard Park association which organises community days, including the Big Playday to coincide with Open Garden Squares. On Saturday June 9, 2018, there will be music, bubbles, face painting and a bouncy castle. Form an orderly queue? Nah, it’s not that sort of park!
Visited during Open Garden Squares Weekend 2017. Here’s how you can visit it during Open Gardens 2018.
